New Jersey Ida Just Recovery Fund

This fund has been established by groups on the frontlines of the climate crisis and New Jersey's Ida recovery efforts.  We will be using up to 70% of funds received to meet the immediate relief needs of communities struggling to recover from Ida and dedicate 30% of funds raised to building long-term organizing capacity in impacted communities.  Recovering from disaster has multiple layers and takes years - frontline organizations will be key to ensure that there is a full, fair, Ida recovery here in New Jersey and that we are better prepared for future disasters.

Your donation will support the communities most in need primarily, and will be deployed for organizing through decisions made by the following groups:

  • Ironbound Community Corporation (Newark)

  • Make the Road New Jersey (Elizabeth, Perth Amboy, Newark, Passaic)

  • The New Jersey Organizing Project (South and Central NJ)

  • Southward Environmental Alliance (Newark)

  • The Ramapough Culture and Land Foundation (Ridgewood)

  • New Jersey Environmental Justice Alliance (Statewide)

  • SEIU 32BJ (Statewide)

  • Fairshare Housing Center (Statewide)

  • New Jersey Working Families Alliance (Statewide)

NJ THRIVES is a statewide coalition for frontline communities committed to building a future for New Jersey where all of us matter.
